2018 Honda Odyssey Earns Highest Safety Ratings

The 2018 Honda Odyssey earns the highest safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

"Odyssey was designed to keep everyone in the family happy, and helping to keep everyone safer is a crucial part of that mission," said Ray Mikiciuk, assistant vice president of Honda Automobile Sales. Mikiciuk also added, "Honda's goal of reaching a collision-free society includes safety improvements for each new generation of Odyssey without having to sacrifice minivan-first technologies like available Magic Slide Seat^TM, which consumers have come to love."

The rating earned was a result of the score achieved on crashworthiness tests, earning a GOOD rating across all categories. The available Honda Sensing and LED headlights feature ensured positive ratings.

The Collision Mitigation Braking System™, a part of the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies earned a SUPERIOR rating.
